THANKS to the THIRD grade families who participated in our second ever “Growing In Faith” Bible class at the end of August! It was a lot of fun and hopefully some learning about God’s Word and the gift that it is. Looking forward to presenting your Bibles on Sunday, Sept 13th at the church service.

** We are looking for an additional 5-8th grade Teacher/Helper and a High School helper for Sunday school this fall. If you would like to be a part of this ministry team, please visit with DCE Ben or Kathy.

SUNDAY SCHOOL VOLUNTEER TRAINING
There will be a “Sunday School Volunteer Training” session on Thursday, Sept 3 at 6pm. Please try to attend this session if you plan to help with Sunday School. The training is to familiarize volunteers (TEACHERS & HELPERS) with the 2026-27 theme & structure, safety training, class prep, and curriculum review. If unable to attend please contact DCE Ben to schedule a time to meet separately.

SEPTEMBER YOUTH STUFF…
ALL YOUTH (6-12th grade):
In case you missed the Youth/Parent Meeting and/or the Confirmation/Midweek Orientation in August, I do have packets on the table by my office for families to pick up.
Youth Medical Forms… I will send out via email, but have printed copies to grab by my office to fill out and return for all youth for this school year.
Middle School Stuff... (6-8th graders)
MIDDLE SCHOOL MIXER & GAME EVENT- Sunday, Sept 20
The middle school youth are scheduled for a Mixer event for Sunday, September 20th from 2-4pm, at the Hampton Auditorium (127 B Street, Hampton). Friends welcome… wear close toed shoes and bring a snack to share! This is for incoming 6th graders up to 8th grade youth. Check your email for more details!
MIDDLE SCHOOL DISTRICT RALLY- Saturday, Nov 7
The Middle School Youth (6-8th graders) will be traveling to Kearney on Saturday, November 7th for the Nebraska District Gathering and return that evening. We will meet at church and carpool to Kearney. The cost for the Rally is a shared cost: $50 per participant and the remainder of $110 ( if registered by the end of September) is being covered by the youth budget. Registration and release forms will need to be submitted by Wednesday, Sept. 23rd with checks made out to “Zion Lutheran Youth”. More info to come via email.
** Also we need some adult chaperones to help transport back and forth to Kearney, plus attend the rally.

High School Stuff... (9-12th graders)
HS PIZZA, POP, & PICKLEBALL – Sunday, Sept 27
High School youth will be doing our annual Pickleball tournament on Sunday, September 27th. Meeting in Henderson at the tennis courts near the Henderson Aquatic Center (1090 Birch St.) at 3:00pm. We will be enjoying some food and fun! Feel free to bring a camp chair and friends are welcome.
HIGH SCHOOL HANG OUTS - Wednesdays, Sept 2 & 16
This Fall, the High School youth will be gathering at Zion a couple times a month to hang out, eat snacks, play some games and a short devo. We will meet from 8:00-8:45pm. Meet at the Youth House!!
