THANKS to the THIRD grade families who participated in our second ever “Growing In Faith” Bible class at the end of August! It was a lot of fun and hopefully some learning about God’s Word and the gift that it is. Looking forward to presenting your Bibles on Sunday, Sept 14th at the church service.

SUNDAY SCHOOL VOLUNTEER TRAINING – September 2 (TUE)
There will be a “Sunday School Volunteer Training” session on Tuesday, Sept 2 at 6pm. Please try to attend this session if you plan to help with Sunday School. The training is to familiarize volunteers (TEACHERS & HELPERS) with the 2025-26 theme & structure, safety training, class prep, and curriculum review. If unable to attend please contact DCE Ben to schedule a time to meet separately.

SEPTEMBER YOUTH STUFF…
ALL YOUTH (6-12th grade):
In case you missed the Youth/Parent Meeting and/or the Confirmation/Midweek Orientation in August, I do have packets on the table by my office for families to pick up.
Youth Medical Forms… I will send out via email, but have printed copies to grab by my office to fill out and return for all youth for this school year.
Middle School Stuff... (6-8th graders)
MIDDLE SCHOOL BOWLING IN YORK - Saturday, Sept 20
The middle school youth will look to master some Bowling skills on Saturday, September 20th, and will meet at 3pm. We will meet at Sunset Bowl (1923 N. Lincoln Ave) in York, bring $10.00 to offset costs. This will be for youth 6th-8th grade and kids can bring a friend. Look for postcard/email for details.
MIDDLE SCHOOL DISTRICT RALLY (Nov 8-9)
The Middle School Youth (6-8th graders) will be traveling to Kearney on Saturday, November 8th and return on Sunday, November 9th. We will meet at church and carpool to Kearney. The cost for the Rally is a shared cost: $50 per participant and the remainder of $110 (by end of September) is being covered by the youth budget. Registration and release forms will need to be submitted by Wednesday, Sept. 24th with checks made out to “Zion Lutheran Youth”. More info to come via email.
MIDDLE SCHOOL MIXER - Sunday, Aug 17
We had a blast at the Hampton Auditorium… we got out the dodgeballs, played Battleball, SPUD, and did a wacky relay course… fun and laughs, plus yummy brownies (thanks Eberle family).
High School Stuff... (9-12th graders)
HIGH SCHOOL PIZZA, POP, & PICKLEBALL – Sunday, Sept 21
High School youth will be having an activity night on Sunday, September 21st. Meeting in Henderson at the tennis courts near the Henderson Aquatic Center (1090 Birch St.) at 6:00pm. We will be enjoying some food and fun! Feel free to bring a camp chair and friends are welcome.
HIGH SCHOOL HANG OUTS - Wednesdays, Sept 3 & 17
This Fall, the High School youth will be gathering at Zion a couple times a month to hang out, eat snacks, play some games and a short devo. We will meet from 8:00-8:45pm. Meet at the Bible Bungalow!!
HS BACK TO SCHOOL GAME NIGHT – Fri Aug 15
We had a blast at our High School game night on Aug 15. Thanks to all the youth who participated... despite having a busy week & a golf tournament the next day! Got to create some good laughs and a round of Junk Orbit!!!
