CHILDREN SING- PALM SUNDAY (March 29): Parents, please make sure kids are on time to practice our song on Sundays in February and March from 8:50-9:00am. Children will process in with palms and sing at the beginning of the Palm Sunday service.
CONFIRMATION (Sunday, March 29)
Confirmation will be earlier this year, so please mark your calendars. We are excited to celebrate our 8th grade confirmands with the rite of confirmation at the 10:00am service.
** Confirmands will be displaying and sharing their Faith Expression projects on Sunday, March 22.
** In the event of inclement weather and school gets cancelled or dismissed early… Midweek will also be cancelled that evening.
** Parents: Reminder that if children are sick or have fevers, please keep them out of children activities on those days. We are trying to minimize the spread of germs to other families and volunteers.
SUMMER CAMP 2026
Have your kids ever been to a summer Christian camp? Have you been to CAMP LUTHER?
DCE Ben is hoping to take a group of kids to camp and we would love to have you tag along. His family will be at camp from Sunday, June 21 to Friday, June 26. He will also be dropping kids off for camp the week of (Sun-Fri, June 14-19). Camps available for kids entering 1st thru 9th grades (Grade as of Fall 2026). FEBRUARY YOUTH STUFF…
** THANKS to everyone who helped/donated to the Spaghetti Feed on January 25th. We raised over $700, which will help us travel to WY for a Youth Ski Trip and tentatively a Kansas City trip this summer for a service project and some fun!!
LENTEN MEAL FUNDRAISERS- Wednesdays, Feb 18, 25 & March 4
In February, the High School youth will be serving up meals the first THREE weeks of Lent. Lenten meals go from 5:30-6:30pm followed by 7pm Lenten Services. Mark your calendar, more details will be sent via email and text.

Middle School Stuff... (6-8th graders)
FRIDAY FUN & GAMES NIGHT – Friday, February 13
Middle School youth gather here at Zion for some random games, food, and fellowship. We will meet at 6:00pm. We are not doing a Lock-in (no April event) or Roller Skating (York rink closed), so this will be a mix of activities. We plan to be done by 10pm, but if you need to leave a bit earlier, you can do that, as I know there are several Saturday activities happening.
I need a few adult chaperones to help watch kids.
CONFIRMATION RETREAT – Friday/Saturday, March 27-28
The Middle School Youth (6-8th graders) will be traveling to Camp Luther (Schuyler, NE) on Friday, March 27th and return on Saturday, March 28th. We will meet at church at 5pm and pick up supper on the way. (Bring a sack lunch or a few dollars for fast food.
· Please turn in payment with your registration forms by Wed. February 18th.
· Cost is $40, please make checks out to “Zion Lutheran”. Total cost is $65 but the youth budget is covering the other $25 per participant.
· We need a few adult chaperones to stay overnight & transport kids. (Camp is 1 ½ hrs. away)
· The packing list and more info to come via email.

High School Stuff... (9-12th graders)
HS DODGEBALL TOURNEY (Sunday, February 15)
High School youth will be having an activity night at Zion on Sunday, February 15th. Meet at Hampton Auditorium at 4pm. We will eat pizza and challenge each other in a crazy game of Battleball & Dodgeball! Bring your favorite snack to share and a board game. Friends are welcome!!
HS YOUTH SKI TRIP (Thursday- Saturday, March 12-14)
We are planning to go skiing in Wyoming over Spring Break on Thursday, March 12 till Saturday, March 14. If you are interested, please TEXT BEN and I'll add you to the list. We will set a meeting date to discuss details in the next couple weeks. I'd like to have names by Sunday, February 1st... if you think you may attend.
